CRGO electrical steel coils can be slit into customer-specified widths for transformer core manufacturing. Conventional and high-permeability grain-oriented electrical steel grades are available, subject to confirmation of the required magnetic properties, thickness, slit width, tolerance and coil dimensions.
CRGO electrical steel coils can be slit into customer-specified widths for transformer core manufacturing. Conventional and high-permeability grain-oriented electrical steel grades are available, subject to confirmation of the required magnetic properties, thickness, slit width, tolerance and coil dimensions.
Slitting requirements are reviewed together with the downstream core-processing method to reduce specification mismatches and support consistent material handling and production.
| Parameter | Available Specification |
| Material | Cold-rolled grain-oriented electrical steel |
| Common Market Terms | CRGO slit coil, CRGO slit strip, grain-oriented electrical steel strip, silicon steel strip |
| Material Type | Conventional / high-permeability GOES |
| Nominal Thickness | 0.23 / 0.27 / 0.30 mm |
| Parent Coil Width | 800–1000 mm |
| Slit Width | According to the confirmed customer specification |
| Width Tolerance and Edge Requirements | Confirmed before production |
| Coil Inner Diameter | 510 mm |
| Parent Coil Weight | Typically 3–5 metric tons per coil |
| Finished Coil Weight | According to slit width and agreed coil configuration |
| Delivery Form | Slit coil / slit strip |
| Material Specification | GB/T 2521.2-2025 or another agreed material specification |
| Magnetic Properties | According to the confirmed parent material grade and inspection certificate |
Slit width alone is not sufficient for production confirmation. The order specification should also define the parent material grade, thickness, width tolerance, edge or burr requirement, coil inner diameter, preferred finished coil weight and packing method.
